Final Double Page Spread

Below is the final double page spread for my music magazine.

Here is the finished version of my music magazine double page spread. I am delighted with the end result especially after making changes due to audience feedback as it has improved. As you can see I have now included the page number to the other side of my double page spread. The artists name in the title was done using the front 'Bleeding cowboys' which was used in the contents page and front cover showing continuity and keeping the same house style. I enlarged the text so that it could be seen clearly and chose white, as it stood out against the mauve background and made the page look slightly different compared to the font cover and contents. For the rest of the text that appears on the page I used the font 'Marcelle script' as it makes the page look professional. I chose black to break up the page as if it was white it would look boring, I also chose red for the letters where a new paragraph started because it connotates its importance and grabs the audiences attention. To make the pages look organised I used the A2 format of columns to present the article making it look authentic. Furthermore, I also included text which appeared just under the smaller images giving a description of when they were taken as this is a convention of an existing magazine. I am pleased with the main image I had chosen to use for one of the pages in the double page spread taking inspiration from Q magazine as I think it represent the artist nicely and again captures the genre of music. For example, like the front cover the mise en scene such as clothing is typically what someone from the indie genre would wear. Moreover, I think that my target audience would be interested in my music magazine double page spread because I have included all the conventions of an existing magazine and focused on using the right features, mise en scene to get across the genre of indie and an authentic magazine double page spread.
