As you can see I have added a black box to the sell lines of the magazine with red text on top letting the audience know other news reported in the magazine. To do this I used a geometric shape from the photo editing site 'PicMonkey' where I then 'send to back' which allows for the red text to appear on top. I chose to use a black box as it stands out to the reader and the red text as it will draw their attention to other stories going on in the magazine, as red connotes importance. For the other text down the sell lines I used the colours yellow and white as again they stand out to the audience also still keeping in theme of traditional school colours. I re sized the anchorage text to slightly smaller otherwise it would have collided with the sell line text which would have made it difficult for the reader to identify what the text says and it would have looked busy. My next development will be to add text to the bottom sell line and skyline.
Below is the second developments I have made to my school magazine contents page. I will go through the changes I have made.
I have now added the title to my contents page which is in the same colour and font as the masterhead on the front cover to show continuity. I then went on to use geometric shapes for the subheading backgrounds and advertisement. I choose black and red as the text will stand out against this.
